OnePaisa is free for users. We fund the platform through affiliate partnerships with banks and financial product providers. This page explains exactly how that works and why you can trust our recommendations anyway.
The short version
When you apply for a product through OnePaisa and the issuer approves you, we receive a commission. That commission funds the site. It never changes which products we recommend or how we rank them.
How affiliate commissions work
Most major banks and card networks in India operate affiliate programs. When a user applies via a partner link and is approved, the issuer pays the partner a referral fee. OnePaisa participates in these programs as a comparison platform.
Commission rates vary by product category and issuer — typically a flat fee per approved application, occasionally a percentage of the first-year spend. We disclose the relationship with a clear rel="sponsored" attribute on every outbound link, as required by Google and recommended by India's Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
How this never influences our picks
- Editorial independence. The analysts who rank products are not the people who negotiate commission rates with partners. They cannot see partner rates when writing.
- Ranking criteria are fixed in advance. Fees, rewards, eligibility, and user-fit drive ordering — not payout.
- We list cards that pay us zero. Genuinely lifetime-free cards are featured when they beat fee-bearing alternatives.
- We publish the rules. This page is the rule.
Who we work with
OnePaisa participates in referral programs run by Indian banks (SBI Card, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Kotak Mahindra, and others) and by network aggregators that sit between us and the issuer. The exact list evolves — email hello@onepaisa.in if you'd like the current roster.
